Power of the Media
This is an attack ad which used the famous Apple commercial to portray Hilary Clinton as the "Big Brother" that must be stopped. Originally no one knew who came up with such a creative mindset video, and just like that it became Technorati's most popular video list. Everyone in the Obama campaign had denied any correlation with the video. Personally, i read somewhere someone said that in the video Hilary came off as a "caring and compassionate" and that the Clinton campaign members should almost look at it as "free advertising". Now that I've gone back to watch the video again i can see where how this person could think so, but it was only after it was pointed out and mentioned to me.

Nomination by Pres Bush
President George Bush has nominated former deputy secretary of state, Robert Zoellick, to be president of the World Bank. This nomination will first need to be considered by the 24 member board of governors. The President believe the former deputy is fit for the job because, "He has earnedthe trust and support of leaders from every region of the world" said the President.
Some have gone to say though that he doesn't haev enough significant experience in econmic development with poor countries. It is said to be known that the World Bank would be completing a dark chapter with the step down of current President of the World Bank, Paul Wolfowitz, in late June. So I too don't believe it would be a smart move to put anyone in this position if there were any doubt what so ever. Only experience that has been shown has been former chief aide of Condoleezza Rice, and an es US trade representative. Right now he is currently executive at the investment bank, but still not the experience really suitable for this job in particular.

Dereliction of Duty
The commander of US marines battalion, Lt Col Jeffrey R Chessani, is being charged for a bomb killing a US soldier and also known to have killed 24 Iraqi civilians in the village of Haditha. He can be charged with dereliction of duty which means to neglect part of his duty of failing to investigate the deaths. Three other officers are being charged with this dereliction of duty, and three marines are being charged with second degree murder which could lead to them spending life in prison.
Unfortunately, the Haditha incident obviously isn't the only case where this has happend. Even though they are not all being caught, it'ce nice to know that the US will continue to enforce these laws on situations when knowingly they know they can't catch them all. The question still remains... how much longer till the innocent civilians stop dying and our troops come home?

Makes you think...
Last thing we need is to have someone in charge with the same views that we've been dealing with for the past 8 years. This was a video I felt was needed to put up, not to make you go against Obama, but to overall in general to help you realize how important it is to take the time to really research the candidates and vote in the right person for the position of president.

Another day, and another bomb...
Once again another bomb exploded, this time it being a car bomb, near a market out in Baghdad. This one managed to kill twenty five people and wounded more then two handfuls. Many women and children, military and medical officials were the ones either wounded or killed. It was suspected to be constructed by Sunni insurgents while US forces were doing routine security procedures. One man claimed to end up in a truck filled with wounded people.
Lives are continuously getting ruined day by day, week by week with the traumatizing events that take place. Officials claim that the number of sectarian murders has gone down, but who’s to say they are being updated regularly. How much information is really being given to us? Situations like these scar people for life, and being to make them believe that no one can be trusted. People can’t and refuse to leave their own homes because of the danger it may consist of; if they even have a home anymore. Once the adults do this, their children will learn from first hand experience to live in fear, and never will they ever be able to live a normal life, if some even know what that may be.

Mastermind Killed
An Iraqi mastermind of a guerrilla attack was killed by U.S. troops. His name was Azhar al-Dulaimi, and was believed to be behind the entire raid in which people were acting to be U.S. troops and suddenly attacking a military base in Karbala. One U.S. soldier was killed and four other were taken away to later be found dead. U.S. troops have been looking for Azhar since a January attack on a US-Iraqi military headquarter in Shia city. Even though this may not have any relevance to the topic at hand, but I still find it hard to believe that it's so easy, well not easy but eventually over time, for US troops to find someone like Azhar al-Dulaimi, but yet still no sign of Osama. What ever happend to him? Is everyone starting to forget about him because he's not in the news everyday anymore? Wasn't he one of the original reasons why we are out there? I know my opinion may not count for much, but i believe we have him locked up somewhere but not willing to reveal it yet; because once we do it's like the long "story" is finally over and that gives us that much less leeway into the countries our commander chief believes we need to go into.
