Militants in Iraq have have created a video expressing the ID cards of tow missing soldiers. US TV networks showed pictures that came from a video made by an Islamic State of Iraq, a group which say has the two men. The two soldiers were captured in an ambush back in mid May. There were no video footage's of the two soldiers on the video, only pictures. One Pentagon spokesmen commented by saying they are not able to clarify the authenticity of the video, but said they were able to identify that the ID cards shown were genuine.

Bush Plan is "Amnesty"

The Bush Plan is being referred to as his immigration plan. Rep. Peter King stated that the current bill before Congress amounts to amnesty and that it was worst then current law. Bush took on his critics and accused them of using scare tactics to boost opposition to an immigration bill that he supports.

"If you want to scare the American people, what you say is [that] the bill is an amnesty bill," the president said last week in Georgia. "It's not an amnesty bill. That's empty political rhetoric, trying to frighten our fellow citizens."

The language made many of those who helped President Bush in his last 2 campaigns who have supported him throughout his entire presidency. When asked if he was trying to frighten the people, Mr. King said no. "I have great regard for President Bush," he said, "but I disagree with him on this."

Ruffini Wants Out

Patrick Ruffini, who was running Rudy Giuliani's Internet procedure, has quit the campaign. Mr. Ruffini says he still supports Mr. Giuliani for president. While it seems Mr. Ruffini left on fine terms, it's probably worth noting that so far the Giuliani Internet operation hasn't been any great shakes. Ruffini said the decision to cut ties with the former mayor was his own and "was done amicably." He had said he was starting up a consulting firm, and believed all his focus and attention should be there. Once asked whether or not he still supports Giuliani's campaign he didn't reply for any other comments.

Another Actor in Politics?

Former US Senator Fred Thompson (R-TN) and Law & Order Star has said he will make his official notice for President over the July 4th Weekend. According to Advisors Thompson has already made millions so far for his Presidential Run. Also according to Thompson Advisors he is being supported by insiders from the past three Republican Administrations. Fred Thompson is considered by many the only Real Conservative Choice for President in 2008. A Recent Poll showed that Mitt Romney was not effected in any way by Thompson joining the race. McCain decreased 5-10 points and Giuliani dropped by 1-2. The rest went to 0 or closer to it. So it seems that McCain will suffer the most during Thompson's run, Romney will have a better shot and Giuliani will have to explain more on his social views. However there is still much time to figure out.

Senate Intelligence Committe Criticizes Bush

The Senate Intelligence Committee criticized the entire Bush Administration for there interrogation methods. The Committee said that the CIA’s detention and interrogation program has produced "damage ... to the image of the United States abroad" and this cost must be evaluated against any "demonstrated value" provided by the program. Those are some big words that i personally cant agree with. I understand he is making mistakes but as for right now he is out president and there's nothing we can do to change that. I'm a firm believer in sticking by your leader, to not show any weakness for other countries to notice. One his presidency comes to an end, you can go ahead and criticize all you want.

$5 Billion Dollars to IED's

Congressional leaders pushed through an "emergency" spending plan last week that did not consist of a timeline for retaining troops from Iraq but did contain importnat funding to counter the effect of improvised explosive devices (IED). President Bush signed the bill on Friday. Most of the Senate voted yes (80-14), with Presidential hopefuls Sen. Clinton (D-NY), Sen. Dodd (D-CT) and Sen. Obama (D-IL) voting "no."
