Push for New Sancation in Iran

The UN has said to press for a complete new set of sanctions in Iran. This is all due to the simple fact that Iran has continued to suspend its uranium enrichment programme. It followed a UN nuclear watchdog warning that Tehran was increasing enrichment and obstructing inspections.Mr ElBaradei has suggested that Iran keep part of its programme, but this view clashes with the view the US has and some European governments as well. A few months back the UN Security Council imposed a second round of sanctions on Iran for failing to suspend uranium enrichment, making Tehran to limit its co-operation with the agency. However, IAEA, international atomic energy agency, inspectors still regularly visit Iran's atomic facilities under the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.
