$5 Billion Dollars to IED's

Congressional leaders pushed through an "emergency" spending plan last week that did not consist of a timeline for retaining troops from Iraq but did contain importnat funding to counter the effect of improvised explosive devices (IED). President Bush signed the bill on Friday. Most of the Senate voted yes (80-14), with Presidential hopefuls Sen. Clinton (D-NY), Sen. Dodd (D-CT) and Sen. Obama (D-IL) voting "no."
